Medrio mSquared Conference - Summary
In March 2018, PHASTAR attended mSquared - Medrio’s annual user conference in San Francisco. The conference hosted CROs, sponsors and other organisations from around the globe. It was an opportunity to learn first-hand about Medrio’s new products and features and to get a preview of the work Medrio are doing to further accelerate and enhance processes. There was plenty of opportunity to exchange ideas and user hints and tips at workshops and personalised training sessions.
Each day kicked off with a keynote address from a Medrio executive, starting with the founder and CEO, Mike Novotny, who shared his vision of how Medrio fits into the evolution of clinical research, discussing some of the innovations that are moving Medrio forward. The Vice President of Customer Success, Lauren Costella, discussed her philosophy of customer success and the resources available that facilitate that relationship.
There was a variety of interesting presentations. Aspects of adaptive clinical trial design, optimising database validation, and considerations of CDISC SDTM during design of an eCRF were explored during presentations by users, demonstrating the flexibility of Medrio in a variety of different and complex study trials. Presentations on Medrio eSource, by both end-users and Medrio Product Managers, gave an insight into improvements in the eSource app along with real-life experience and success of implementation. With the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) just around the corner, Medrio hosted a discussion how this will affect clinical trials and the implications it may have on organisations.
A key theme that was visited during the conference was the Medrio product roadmap. Attendees heard about the upcoming product releases and new features to further enhance the experience of all Medrio users from the database designer through to the end user in terms of enhanced design options, increased efficiencies, new system tools and new options for reporting and metrics, something PHASTAR has worked closely with Medrio on.
As part of Medrio’s partner program, PHASTAR Data Management has experience and expertise in Medrio EDC trial design. We are excited to be able to implement the new features, which will enable further streamlining of study timelines, improvements in data quality and provide an even better end-user experience in all studies from the simple to the complex. PHASTAR is delighted to be part of Medrio’s new external product advisory councils.
