PHASTAR’s 2021 Virtual Life Science Summit
The 2nd annual PHASTAR Life Science Summit ran over two afternoons on 8-9th June 2021 and focused on developing and delivering statistical and data science excellence with engaging discussions and presentations from industry experts. the 2021 summit covered timely topics such as COVID-19, statistics in clinical trials, data science and its applications, as well as a dedicated young statisticians' showcase.
We were delighted to hosts presentations from distinguished figures such as Professor Peter J Diggle (CHICAS, Lancaster University), Dr Heinz Schmidli (Novartis), Mark Briers (Lead Scientist of the NHS COVID19 App), Rosa LaMarca (AstraZeneca) and Eileen Hoffman (Takeda).

The Sally Hollis Memorial Lecture
The Sally Hollis Lecture was established in 2021 in memory of Professor Sally Hollis, a much-loved and highly respected member of the PHASTAR team. Sally was a highly talented leader whose contribution was recognized as outstanding by all who worked with her.
Each year a Sally Hollis Lecturer is chosen in recognition of outstanding contributions to the field of medical statistics. The Lecturer alternates each year between academia and industry to represent the substantial cross-discipline impact that Sally had.
