For each of these, several examples from the medical literature are given. The Spearman-Brown formula for reliability of the mean of repeated measurements is presented, and consequences for study sample size / power are discussed.

A summary is given, referring back to what reliability is and why it is important to pharmaceutical / medical statistics. Key references are given for anyone who wants to know more about the subject.
