In our “Meet the Team” series, we highlight the talented individuals who drive Phastar’s success. Each team member brings unique skills, experience, and passion to their role, working together to deliver high-quality biometrics and data science solutions in clinical research. Below, we share their career journey, insights, and the impact they make every day.
Can you tell us a bit about your background and what led you to join Phastar?
I previously worked on early phase trials at another CRO, which gave me a strong foundation in this area. I was drawn to Phastar because of its reputation for quality and excellence, and the emphasis it places on doing things the right way. I was also keen to broaden my experience by working across different therapeutic areas, and saw Phastar as an opportunity to continue learning while contributing to high-quality work across a wider range of studies.
What is your role at Phastar, and what do you enjoy most about your day-to-day responsibilities?
I am a Senior Programmer within the FSP team, working in the oncology department. Oncology is an area I feel particularly passionate about, as it offers the opportunity to contribute to work that can make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. Being part of this team allows me to apply my skills to complex studies while knowing the impact of the work extends far beyond the data.
What has been your favorite moment or achievement at Phastar so far?
I’ve been fortunate to achieve multiple promotions during my time at Phastar, starting as a Programmer III in July 2021. Each step has given me the opportunity to take on new challenges and continue developing my skills.
I was also lucky enough to visit our Beijing office in 2024, which was an amazing experience and had a real impact on how I collaborate and communicate with colleagues across the business.
What opportunities for growth or professional development have you had since joining the team?
I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate closely with colleagues who have many years of industry experience, which has been incredibly valuable. Strong mentoring during my first exposure to study leading allowed me to learn from others’ experience and build confidence in taking on greater responsibility.
What do you value most about working at Phastar?
One of the things I value most is the opportunity to collaborate with such supportive and talented colleagues. There are clear opportunities for progression, which makes it motivating to keep developing and taking on new challenges. I also really appreciate the focus on work–life balance, alongside the chance to come together and celebrate as a team at events like the Christmas parties.
