Can you tell us a bit about your background and what led you to join Phastar?
I started my career in the CRO industry in 2011. My experience covered project operations, resourcing management, and people management. Before joining Phastar, I was focusing on project oversight of programming activities and resourcing accounts of biotech companies and people management across regions. I was looking for a company that has a compact structure to focus on delivery of quality and innovation, where I can integrate my experience and provide input from regional development towards globalization. Phastar is the one that attracted me with these features.
What is your role at Phastar, and what do you enjoy most about your day-to-day responsibilities?
I have a mixed role that has exposure in programming team operations, regional operation and leadership of CDISC Hub. My role involves people management, project oversight and initiatives that streamline the existing process. Regarding regional operations across China, there are exposures to the engagement with local client and events in the industry. As in CDISC Hub team, I am leading the scope of SDTM related tasks, with benefits from technical innovations in automation and AI. I really enjoy the day-to-day responsibilities and various challenges that emerge from different areas.
What has been your favorite moment or achievement at Phastar so far?
There are numerous achievements in project work. My favorite moments are always that regardless of the difference in regions/cultures, people in Phastar share the same goal to deliver quality and excellence to our customer. This enables smooth collaboration and great dedication towards success.
What opportunities for growth or professional development have you had since joining the team?
Every year we send our people to PHUSE and PharmaSUG conferences, to connect with peerswithin the industry and exposure to the most up-to-date technology. Within Phastar, there are openings to internal team members of various interests that provide a diversity in career paths.
Since joining Phastar, one of the biggest areas of professional growth for me has been the opportunity to work with and manage teams on a global scale. Collaborating across different countries, cultures, and time zones has significantly developed my leadership, communication, and project management skills. It has given me valuable exposure to diverse ways of working and strengthened my ability to coordinate international teams effectively while maintaining strong relationships and delivery standards.
What do you value most about working at Phastar?
What I value most about working at Phastar is the supportive and collaborative culture, along with the strong opportunities for professional growth. Since joining the company, I have had the opportunity to grow significantly as a leader, particularly through leading the CDISC Hub team. Phastar has provided an environment where I have been trusted with increasing responsibility. Working closely with highly experienced colleagues and industry experts has helped me expand my knowledge and leadership capabilities, while the collaborative culture has made it easy to learn from others and share ideas openly.
