Committed to environmental, social, and governance responsibility
At Phastar, ESG is part of how we work. Through Phastar CARES, we are taking practical action to support our people, contribute to our communities, reduce our environmental impact and operate with integrity.
Our approach reflects Phastar’s wider mission to improve human health by delivering high-quality biometrics and data science services responsibly, sustainably and with measurable progress.
Recognized ESG progress
Our progress is independently recognized by EcoVadis, one of the world’s leading sustainability ratings platforms. In 2025, Phastar increased its EcoVadis score by 15%, placing us in the top 20% of assessed companies and earning a Bronze rating.
We have also set a validated net-zero target through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), reinforcing our commitment to reduce emissions in line with climate science and achieve net zero by 2035.
Our ESG priorities
Our ESG priorities focus on three areas where we can make a meaningful difference: environmental responsibility, people and communities, and ethical governance.
Environmental responsibility
We are reducing our environmental footprint through global recycling program, more sustainable supplier choices and ongoing improvements to how we operate across our locations.
Supporting our people and communities
We invest in policies, program and partnerships that support employee wellbeing, inclusion and community impact. This includes regular policy reviews, charity partnerships and a paid volunteering day for every employee.
Ethical and responsible governance
We uphold high standards of integrity, transparency and accountability, supported by responsible procurement practices and a commitment to continual improvement.
Creating positive change
By embedding ESG into our business, Phastar CARES helps us create lasting value for our people, clients, communities and the patients ultimately impacted by our work.
We’re proud to have launched a pro bono scheme, where charities can access our biometrics experts at no cost. Since launch, our experts have supported Great Ormond Street Hospital and Prostate Cancer Research and Education for Health. Volunteers from across the business provide statistics, data science, data management and programming to third sector organizations, helping you access specialist expertise that they may otherwise be unable to afford.
You can receive a tailor-made service, supporting you with understanding your data and evidence, improving your decision making and creating meaningful efficiencies.
To be eligible for support through the pro bono initiative, your organization must be recognized as third sector that shares our mission to improve human health and typically have an annual turnover of up to around £2.5 million.
