Can you tell us a bit about your background and what led you to join Phastar?
I have a strong background in talent acquisition, with a focus on servicing CROs for nearly 10 years. The exceptional reputation of Phastar in biometrics and data science solutions and its culture of collaboration and innovation attracted me to the organization. The chance to collaborate with top industry professionals and play a role in impactful clinical research projects has been a significant driving force for me.
What is your role at Phastar, and what do you enjoy most about your day-to-day responsibilities?
As a Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition at Phastar, I lead the efforts to attract and hire top-tier talents in China, Japan and Australia. What I enjoy most is connecting with passionate professionals, understanding their career aspirations, and matching them with opportunities where they can thrive. Each day presents unique challenges, from partnering with hiring managers to shape team growth, refining recruitment strategies, to building relationships with candidates who bring diverse expertise to Phastar. It’s truly rewarding to witness the success of new hires as they contribute to the company’s goals.
What has been your favorite moment or achievement at Phastar so far?
One of my proudest achievements at Phastar was leading the recruitment for a critical expansion of our Clinical Intelligence team. We needed to hire niche expertise quickly without compromising on Phastar’s high standards. From day one, I had the freedom to innovate in our hiring strategies, backed by a team that values both excellence and flexibility. Leadership trusted our process, hiring managers partnered closely to refine our approach, and the wider team embraced new hires with incredible warmth, reinforcing Phastar’s reputation as a place where talents thrive.
What opportunities for growth or professional development have you had since joining the team?
Since joining Phastar, I’ve been fortunate to experience meaningful professional growth, both through structured learning and the day-to-day challenges that push me to evolve. One of the most valuable investments was the company’s sponsorship of my SHRM-SCP certification, which equipped me with strategic HR insights. I now these apply daily, from refining our hiring frameworks to strengthening candidate engagement. Moreover, collaborating in cross-functional projects with the HR team, such as improving local onboarding procedures, has broadened my understanding of the employee journey.
